Epoxy Quartz Flooring
Quartz flooring is rapidly gaining popularity in high traffic spaces, and for good reason. This natural blend of quartz sand and calcium carbonate offers exceptional durability, thanks to quartz's inherent hardness. Beyond its resilience, quartz epoxy floors deliver stunning, customizable designs, rivaling the look of terrazzo at a fraction of the cost. They're also sustainable, slip-resistant, chemical and mold resistant, and require minimal upkeep, making them a smart, long-lasting investment for high-traffic areas.
Quartz Epoxy Flooring Installation:
Surface Preparation: Begin with a clean, coating-free surface. This ensures optimal epoxy adhesion and a durable bond with the quartz.
Base Coat & First Quartz Broadcast: Apply Epoxy 100 Clear at 15-20 mils. Immediately broadcast quartz onto the wet epoxy until complete saturation (rejection) is achieved, eliminating any shiny spots.
Second Coat & Quartz Broadcast: After 12 hours (or 4 hours for Broadcast Primer), sweep away excess quartz from the first broadcast. Apply a second coat of Epoxy 100 Clear at 15-20 mils and broadcast quartz to rejection again.
Grout Coat: Allow the second quartz broadcast to cure for 12 hours. Apply a grout coat of Epoxy 100 Clear, back-rolling with a 3/8” nap woven roller for even coverage.
Topcoat: Finish with your chosen topcoat, either a Polyaspartic or High Solids Urethane.
